Bags for CT 11e?

So, I have an ancient CT 11e that is still running great.  I am down to my last two bags, and there do not seem to be any more to be had anywhere.  The nice people at the central hive in IN told me I could probably use a CT 22 bag, but I thought I would ask here to see if anyone else has a CT 11e and what they have done to keep it going.

Failing that, if anyone wants to start up a museum of old Festool tools, I have a contribution for a nominal price.  :P

I know It's not much help to you Bill, but i have a CT 11e and the bags are still available here in the UK. I assume they are still being made by Festool.

I wonder why they are not available in the US....??

Call Festool direct...888-337-8600.  I've bought various parts and pieces from them, great service and info.  Bob Marino gave me the number years ago for non stock item and parts.

I noticed last time I bought bags for my CT-22 that it said at the box that they were also for the CT-11.

So you need 452970 (5 bags). I don't know if they changed anything to make the compatible with the CT-11 (I didn't keep track of the part numbers on the old box), but if not, you can also get 494631 (20 bags).

Yes that is correct, see -http://www.festool.com.au/epages/to...ooltechnic/Products/452970/SubProducts/452970

Could not get the search engine on US site working for me today, even for other products. Not usually a problem though.

[eek] AUD 95?

Official price here is € 46,34 (AUD 65), and that includes the 21% VAT. Actual prices at dealers is €37

A good example of what price fixing (courtesy of the Aust government's consumer protection) lets Festool get away with.

Hi [member=8955]Coen[/member]
FESTOOL is the only company in all of Australia that has been granted an exemption and can practice retail price maintenance. That means no dealer discounting and relatively higher prices. Nor do our service levels equal UK and US. You might like to review 'One for the Aussies' for more discussion.

I was just at woodcraft San Carlos and they had a box of CT 11 bags on sale for 50% off.  May want to give them a call...

That's just ridiculous. When we had the fixed prices in Europe, there were massive flows of gray market Systainers etc. If they really charge 50% more for the small parts, just import from somewhere else. You can pay the price excluding VAT to a European dealer, have it shipped to Australia, then pay the AUS VAT.

If there is something I want to buy here, and I find out that it's massively cheaper somewhere else, I import. Eg; the photoprinter I wanted was €480 here, and ~$99 in the USA. So I paid ~$99 shipping...

A few percent here and there to support local branches and service; fine. But +50% is just ridiculous.

I apply the same with physical store vs online; the backpack I bought was like 100 bucks in-store, all dusty. Online; 60 bucks, delivered, dust-free.  [huh]

Thanks for the responses everyone. It has been a little while since I could back here. I have thought about the dust deputy route. I have one I use for sandblasting already. I also called the SAN Carlos store. They thought they had them but after looking around a bit, came back on the phone and said they sold out in 2013. I had called Festool direct before I even posted. I did buy a CT22 bag to give it a try.

Are these the CT22e bags or ones specifically for the CT11e? Where did you find them?
