Well, folks I splashed out on the new CT Midi recently and made sure ordered some bags to go with it. I am now really peeved to find that what I ordered does not fit the new Midi:-\
I looked on eBay today all I can find are bags for £13 a pot! I only want disposable as I find I don't enjoy getting a face full of dust when emptying a reusable. I am used to paying around £3 a bag Max for my old Mini so am feeling a bit frustrated! Any suggestions?

Please note that the prices on the link above are for a pack of 5. Those aren’t the ‘each’ prices !!

Many thanks for this, has anyone tried the cheaper copies? Any good or not worth it?
Well, one buys the Festool vacs to be able to take advantage of the SelfClean bags Festool uses ... so putting in cheapo bags kinda loses the point.

IF you do not care about filtration quality, the other brands will be fine. Just keep in mind that a single crappy bag will clog the main filter (which acts as a backup/safety only when Festool SelfClean bags are used). So, IF you care about filtration (the main filter cannot be regenerated as that would destroy the filtration properties) you save 10 to spent 50 on a new main filter ..

IF you do not care about filtration, then anything will go. But then you spent a lot of money for an average shop vac with a Festool logo on it ... could have got a Makita as well then ..

Also keep in mind that the SelfClean bags cost more because you can fill the bags up to 80%+ and the vac will still have good suction. Not so with third party "standard" bags.

I agree somewhat but not completely, as I used copies with my old mini and they never clogged up the main filter. Also, that filter was easy enough to clean by taking it out and giving it a tap now and again.

You cannot truly clean a micro filter by a tap ... by "clogged" I meant it starts restricting air flow by more than 10% due to filled micro-pores.

I'm not too shure why your worrying about the cost of bags. Just get yourself a CT-VA-20. Used properly and emptied regularly, the chances are it could be well over a year before you need to buy another bag.
I've had the same re-usable bags in my 2 Midi's since the release of CT-VA-20, it saves a fortune in the cost of bags.
You can pick one up fromhttps://www.toolstop.co.uk/festool-204083-ct-pre-separator-ct-va-20-for-ct-26-36-48/ for £260, worth every penny.
