Finally finished these cabinets above my basement stairway. Couldn't find a picture of what it looked like before I started but is was basically a blank wall with a door narrow door the width of one stud cavity for access. Unfinished on the inside and poorly insulated. Knocked the pictured hole in, insulated and put some drywall in but didn't do any finishing as it is all unseen. Seemed like a good place to put a wall oven.
All soft maple used is from trees in my parents back yard. Didn't do a lot of wood editing so all the character flaws are left in. Counter top and lower door panels are maple, teak, black walnut and red oak that I was given. Sunburst panel is maple, cherry and teak. Lots of separate glue ups.
