Basis?

Offers a little sliding stop SAS500 used to match the base unit plus basis. The cultivation takes place in a matter of seconds on the side of the base plus. Cutting and trimming is not a problem as the workpiece and especially precise absolutely free to play the saw can be pushed over

That part has been rarely used and is therefore in a good state. Not ausgeleiert, anges?gt or vermurkst.

# Sliding table base SAS 500
# Schiebeweg 500 mm
# Used for basic 1 A, 2 A, 5 A, 6 A and CMB
# Cultivation is done in seconds at the side of the base
# Condition: very good / little used
# Absolute precision tool

Mike,

I like the way you think... I want one too...  maybe more when we figure it out... lol

Nick,

Whats the base unit plus?

Aslo I wanted to ask you if you ever ordered the saw from bridge city?  I haven't heard of anyone say they got one yet.  I understood they were going to shipped before xmas for those who pre-ordered.

It is a small sliding table that fits on the side of the basic basis tableGE/KB. It can be used with the any of the basis module inserts.  I have one on the basis table and use it with the 2000 router basis 6 and sander cmb120 insert.  You need a mitre gage aka Festool la650 longitudinal stop to make it work.  Their are not many small router tables that have sliding  tables for end grain work so it makes the Festool table rather special.  You could add it to a existing router set up with some retrofit but you need the WRA500 or the LA650 mitre gage to make it work. Check out the UK or German Festool site for more detail. Chad

But if you're going to go to all the trouble you should be getting the CMS module system, which replaces the BASIS.

Womack or Eli,

I've got the LA650. Could you mount the sliding table on the side of an older MFT and mortise a router plate into the top? I don't believe we will ever see any of those adapters in the USA, Basis or CMS. UL will shoot em down.

Wayne,
  ;D

Mike

Yeah I guess I don't need it... I have a sliding table on my shaper and a nice sled for the router table...

You probably could, but for the money and the shipping you'd probably be ahead just getting a couple of linear bearings and building a slider, for all the screwing around you'll have to do. I don't think the UL is as big a concern as Festool's perception that the market for them would be too limited. The switch on the unit is literally an extension cord with an inline switch. It shouldn't be that big of a deal, there's a thousand things already on the market with similar.
