This was supposed to be our rebuilding year, and yet we now find ourselves in the ALCS, facing the team that just spanked the red Sox. It feels good to be a Yankees fan today.

I really didn't think they would pull it off. I'm a Cubs fan myself and we're still battling the Nationals' tonight. I was very fortunate to see them win it all last year with my father. I unfortunately lost him 4 months ago so that's a really good memory I will always cherish. Now I've gotta stop wasting time on the FOG and get back to the game GO CUBBIES!!!!!!!!!

I don't want to jinx it, but it's starting to feel a bit like the Yankees are a team of destiny.  I was glued to my radio on Tuesday listening to one of the most remarkable late-inning rallies I've ever witnessed.  From down 0-2 in ALDS to a 3-2 victory; then from down 0-2 in the ALCS to up 3-2, where we now stand just 1 game from the World Series.  I suspect Verlander will be on his game tonight in Houston however, and make up for Dallas Keuchel's only-human performance on Wednesday evening.  I think there is a good chance that C.C. Sabathia gets the ball in game 7 along with the opportunity to cap off his remarkable year of redemption after a couple of seasons in the wilderness.  Whatever happens, it's been an incredible run, and what looks to be the first of many for the foreseeable future with the new guys on board.
