Bathroom furniture for a good friend. Made from 16 mm mdf with teak veneer and 5 mm teak edges. The drawer ends, is made to look like hardwood drawerfront when opened.Drawers is soft maple (what we have in Europe is just maple). Treated with linseed oil and Danish oil. Dominos hold the cabinet together and the maple drawers with dovetails, is done with the VS600 and a OF1010. Everything is sanded down to 180 grid orbital sander and before finish, everything is hand sanded with 220. For some reason, the tradition in North europe is not to go higher than 220.

Linseed oil for color, and 2 layers of Danish oil. Everything is treated that way except inside drawers. Inside is just Danish oil (which we actually dont have in Denmark.......)

THanks alot!

puts me in mind of brazil nuts, they don't exist in bazil, they're called "castanhas-do-pará" which is something to do with chestnuts.
anyhoo, i digress. really beautiful look, i love those handles, they look really retro but but in a classy way.

Nice job...real nice job.  I like the drawer inside a drawer idea. Is there any storage on the sink side of the vanity or is it just open space for plumbing?

Love the handles also, retro but more like modern retro.  [big grin]

Very elegant and sophisticated design!  Superb workmanship!

I really like the drawer handles.  How did you get the angle on the handles?  Are the dominos at an angle in the drawer front?

Thanks for sharing!

Mike A.

Thanks alot, means alot to me :)

Both drawers on the right side are fully functional. The top drawer has a cutout in the back, for the plumbing. About 10 mm space around the plumbing.

The angle on the handles is made with a little jig for the table saw and a couple of testruns.

To get the angle for the dominos on the drawer front, I set the domino at 30 degrees, and taped a piece of 19 or 22 mm mdf with doublesided tape on the flat side of the domino, for spacing. It worked perfectly, and was very fast.

Im in love with the domino, and I use it almost in every project, even though we have expensive stationary machinery for joints at the school. The domino is so fast and accurate.

THanks again guys..

Looks Great!  I don't live in Europe but I almost never sand wood with finer than 220 grit sandpaper either.  End grain or fancy grain maybe.  But not regular boards.  I don't see that it makes a difference.
