I've accidentally left some tools at clients places, and it's just remained forgotten...they certainly weren't stolen.
Kind of like the lawnmower you lend to a neighbor, and just remains there till you remember to pick it up. *shrug

I am all for catching them and chopping their hands of so they can't  do it again... Or better fight to the death in a Gladiator match on PPV.... and the winner gets feed to starving Chihuaha's
