Bench Unit for EHL 65?

I have a Model EHL 65 Hand Planer and like the quality of the tool but limited skills using it. I could, however, use it as a jointer if I could find a Bench Unit. It appears that item SE-EHL 488524 works with the EHL 65 but I cannot find it here in the USA. Any suggestions?

Bruce, welcome to the forum. We do not currently offer the bench unit for the EHL in the U.S. market. I don't know of any immediate plans to add it to our offerings.

I'm not sure if you can order one abroad or not. To my knowledge, it's not a safety issue just a lack of demand.

These units are apparently not available in the US. I suppose I could seek to find a unit in the UK or Australia. Do you use your Bench Unit often? Is it a quality built unit?

I have not got it yet, im picking them both up on January 5th. I ordered the planer and got told i could have the bench unit for free. I would say it is something i will probably never use.
