Bessey and Festool clamp options

The Bessey is the same thing, but there are similar clamps that are often just not the same. Tolerances with the rail system are small, and the savings should be really big to justify sharp edges etc.

Also I just ordered two Bessey GTR16S6H clamps, found a good deal at € 28,- each. Will report back here when I've got them wether they work in all holes of the MFT or not.

Where are you finding that deal, the best I could find is like $49 in the USA.

A Dutch webshop has them for

One Amazon reviewer sussed out the only difference between the Fester and the Bessey versions:  The Bessey has a molded extension to the release trigger which better covers the ratcheting mechanism, and this helps better prevent pinches.  I compared the Amazon picts of both, side-by-side, and could see this.

Ah yes, I see. But it makes me wonder... I never got pinched by the Festool clamps... what did I do right?

Does anyone actually use/buy the screw clamps again after having used the quick clamp?
I almost bought them initially, but glad I didn't as the quick clamps are so much better to work with. It's the wrong thing to cheap out on.

Have both types. Both are good, but I find that the ratchet style can easier leave a mark on soft wood. The screw style makes it harder to do why having both types are, to me, ideal.

Buy two 300mm screw clamps
Get two 150mm screw clamps in the FS/2 Sys
Buy two 160mm quick clamps
Get two 150mm screw clamps with the LR32 Sys
Get two 160mm quick clamps with the Festool #201311 Sys
Get two 150mm screw clamps with the Bessey STC-S-MFT Sys

I have to say I never bought screw clamps separately after I bought the quick clamps.  [tongue]
