Bessey quick clamps in systainer

Yea, they were spoken about here some time ago but i cant remember what the thread was.  I seem to remember i was going to buy a set for a specific job but as it turned out i had enough clamps already.  It looks like a nice set though.

Woodguy.

Anybody know who sells this set in the UK ?

allright!, are they compareble (durabilaty) to the festool quick clamps?
I think that some parts are made of plastic in stead of cast iron..

I only got 6 clamps total (cuz im a novice).. and this set includes 16 clamps 4 times 4 different sizes and it
comes in a classic sys..

they cost 279 euro (384 us dollar)

what do you guys think of it?

I know this set, a friend of mine has the full set and I myself have 2 of these clamps. They are very nice as long as you don't use them for to great a force.

They are made to be very light, made out of magnesium and plastic. Clamping and release action work very smooth and the clamps are ok for 95% of my clamping needs, only when you need a really big force you'd better use some steel ones. A friend of mine has this set and he broke one of them when he clamped too hard. Hasn't happened to me yet and I take care not too overload them, but for most normal applications like clamping a workpiece they suit just fine. The lightness and ease of use make them my go to clamps.

They do not hold up to the all metal Festool quick clamp though, that thing is a beast compared to the Bessey clamp. Also weighs about 3 times as much, so that's no surprise.  Btw, the Festool clamp is also made by Bessey.

While that looks like a nice piece of kit those are going to be too short for most glue up clamping tasks.

I would look at getting one of these kits Bessey 4 Clamp Kit

Then get a couple 48" pipe clamps and take advantage of the 20% off clamp sale coming up at Rockler to buy as many Jet F clamps as you can get.

Just my 0.02.
