Hello Everyone

I have made a video featuring some more of my Bessey clamps. You may find some of my ideas for the toggle clamps useful.

Here is the link:

I made an error in the film, there is no need to remove the pin when reversing the EZS.

Wonderful video Peter (as ever  :))

Two things more things: Bessey also has a (classic) systainer filled with 16 Kli-Klamps in 4 sizes that can be found for around 250 euro. And the EZS (one handed) clamps play nice with the MFT: take the top part off like you showed, thrust the steel bar of the clamp through a 20mm hole and re-attach the top part. Not quite as fast as a real Festool clamp, but it may come in handy.

That's a great tip about the EZS. I had taken the retaining pin out of one of mine and had toyed with the idea but showed my old clamp (the one I ground off a bit) instead. That was when I made my error and demo'd the EZS in reverse by removing the pin! It must be my age.

I have seen the classic systainer and would get one like a shot if I could find it for just 250 Euro in the UK. Here the price is much more. I spend a lot of money at woodworking shows and usually pick up a couple of clamps, some glue, sanding disks and so on and often pay a lot less than normal street prices.

Cheers.

Hi Peter,

As mentioned before, thank you for taking the effort recording these videos, I always watch them too.

I have the Bessey Revo KR clamps as per your previous video and absolutely love them. (Sizes 60, 100 and 150 plus a bunch of the extension adaptors, swivels and some other goodies.
The BIG Mistake I made was buying the Bessey DUO clamps. I have eight in two sizes. Wish I got the EZS you reviewed. The Duo ones are slightly cheaper and the EZS, and only that, was my decision maker. They do fine in quickly securing a workpiece to a bench, for use at the drill press etc. and I like the "push" function of the clamp but for glue-ups they don't crank enough pressure. I have these DUO's for about two years now and broke one last week. The plastic just cracked as I think I put to much pressure on the clamp cranking it down.
The Bessey Clippix XCL and Vario Clippix XV I like too. I have four of each or so and they come in real handy from time to time.
Next on my Bessey list is a sheet-good carrier (or however that thing would be called in English?) the Bessey KFP so that I don't have to call in the Misses anymore just to move some plywood.

Kind regards,
Mauri
