Bessey VarioClippix clamps

I use metal 1, 2, and 3 spring clamps, then step up to Bessey DuoKlamps after that.

Hi Eli,

I bought some of the DuoClamps (24") based on your earlier recommendation. I like them a lot. Are the spring clamps really that handy, or am I better off just picking up more of the shorter DuoClamps?

Well, you never really know until you need them right? And then you never have enough.  :D

I've got 6 of both sizes of Duo, and then a bunch of metal spring clamps in all three sizes. The smaller Duo is definitely great, but I do use spring clamps fo 'sho. I've had a lot of different spring clamps, the only plastic ones I haven't broken (not that the bessey varioclippix would break) is a set of locking Kobalt ones from Lowes. Most of them I hate because the swiveling foot comes off, or the clamp axis goes sideways. I'd go for the 12" Duos. They're even handier than the 2 footers. But you should have some kind of spring clamps, #2's are the most versatile in the metal breed. Four or eight of them will definitely not break the bank.
