Best Festool sander for edges and inside corners?

I've been making a lot of wainscoting panels lately and was wondering which Festool sander I should be using for the edges and inside corners.

I sand the flats with my ETS125 but it seems unstable riding on the 3/4" edges let alone the 1/2" inside edges that are rabbeted to accept the panels.  Plus there is the problem of getting into the inside corners.

I had thought I wanted an RO90 but now I'm looking at the DTS400.

In addition to my ETS125, I also have a RO125 and LS130.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Just ran into the same issue with some wainscot I built..Went with the DTS, couldn't be happier. I should mention I also have an RO125 which works in tandem with the DTS very well for quick(er) material removal. But to answer your question DTS is PERFECT For this project and leaves a finer finish than the RO90 will due to the stroke difference and "orbital" motion. Also the hand positioning is better if you ask me. I could use the DTS all day long, it's smooth as silk.

For such small edges I'd say the RO 90 or DX93. With a nice small 93x93 hard delta pad. The DTS might do it too, but I think it is too big for this and the grip is placed in such a way that you have less control then when you use a RO90 or DX93.

I agree with Alex on this one, RO90 or DX93.  I do think the DTS would be better than the ETS if it fits your everyday needs better than the small delta sanders.

Am I correct in my understanding that the RO90 takes two hands to control properly?

When sanding edges, I tend to hold the panel upright with one hand and sand with the other.

No, you are not correct. Especially not when you use the delta pad.

I am going to second Alex's opinion on controlling the dx90 with one hand, it's nicely ergonomic to just grab the long bit and sand away.

Interesting, I just bought the DTS before the increase Feb 1 and tried it out today on 1.5" faceframes and inside a cabinet. It is much nicer for that than the ETS125 and I was surprised how well you can do an inside edge without it bouncing off the side. But I was struggling with use on 3/4" door edges.

I thought I was done buying Festool sanders at 5 - I'm certainly out of money.
