Well, I have finally finished my version of an MFT cart. Had some extra paint so I finished it to match the router table, so I kind of got a theme going now. Obviously I would like to thank all the previous MFT cart makers as clearly I was inspired by them. Let me know what you think? Once I finally get a Kapex, I see a Kapex cart to round out the family. Thanks Eric

I like the clamp rack and of course the colr scheme.  How much would you say you spent in materials if you do not mind my asking?  I have been thinking of building something myself.

I had the shop up and running, so I took some pics of how I utilize the Festool system, with some other manufacturers tools also. Kapex soon if work picks up. UWBesque table is the next project. My wife uses the one bay for her car, so the miter station and table saw set up live in the box van and go to work with me everyday and the cutting table gets hung on the wall behind miter saw. Next year no spending on tools, just insulation, drywall, electrical(no more tripped circuits) and heating. Let me know what you think, Eric

Peter, that is a Dust Cutter. Woodcraft paid me to take it out of there store.

Brice/Tom, things have gone pretty smooth over there so far. ycf_dino hasnt called it a "kids toy chest" yet, like its router table sibling.

Kev, thought of that, but it seemed that it would be easier to do those types of procedures on the double MFT, which is five feet away.

Ron, I taught my s=assistant how to use the Domiplate on this project, we love it and am telling everyone to buy one, thanks.

It's not about the money, it's all about building something for yourself that meets your specifications.

It wouldn't be an outlandish cost, I'd just build it and not worry about the money at all.

Upscale, youre right. Money doesnt compare to the experience, learning a better way, the fun and then having the probably most used workstation in the shop.

I would like to give Festool a shout out on the CXS. For the money the best tool they have come out with yet. Ive had it for awhile now and run it through the mill, but found it just pleasant to use in the shop. It really excelled at installing drawer slides, thanks Eric

One thing I've noticed recently, more than in the past, is when I finally build something on my wishlist, I get more use and satisfaction out of it than I'd have thought. *That's* when my woodworking really makes an impact on me.

I think it may be because I'm getting older and I do it now for pleasure, not as a necessity for something like a job.

Upscale, work and pleasure are one in the same for me. Right now custom work out of the garage shop doesnt pay the bills, box cabinet kitchen and bath remodels does, but i spend all of my spare time practicing and getting ready for when the economy gets better. Eric

Thanks...that was what I was looking for.  I agree that the overall cost vs. satisfaction of making something does not really compare, but I have to budget for these expenditures and so it was helpful getting a ballpark idea of cost so I can start that process.  Love the design and overall execution. I have been thinking of making one with a folded MFT on top that could be quickly taken off for out-of-shop work.  Thanks again for sharing your great set-up.
