I'm in the middle of a bamboo flooring job. Lots of smoke. Which is the best blade for this application?

Bamboo is very hard on saw blades.  For a cost more effective method I'd recommend a jigsaw to cut all the pieces that don't show. As for TS55 blades, doesn't really matter they all will dull quickly.  If you have to pick one I'd go for the laminate blade since it is a triple chip grind that will hold up a little better.

Thanks for the reply. It certainly seems my TS55 burns pretty much anything anyway. I figured the TCG was the way to go, but less than ten cuts, it started the smoke show...

I've always used a SCMS, never had any trouble or gone through multiple blades.

If your 55 is burning most cuts then your blade to base alignment is most likely off.  I had to adjust mine after recieving mine, now never burns.

Don't have experience with Bamboo, but when I've faced a job where I knew the blade was in for some abuse I have purchased the less expensive Oshlun equivalent blade.

I'd second the possible toe in or out issue. I've cut lots of Ipe and Tigerwood with the same blade that still makes excellent cuts in veneered plywood.
