The cutters included in the LR 32-SYS (Part No: 584100) need to be better secured inside the Systainer.

The drilling set I purchased arrived with all three cutters loose out of their designated compartments, thus being bounced around against other metal components.

Very disappointing to receive expensive cutters this way.  I definitely expect better than that from Festool.

Edit: This should be moved to the Festool Tool Problems forum.

Sorry to hear that your cutters bounced loose in transit. Moving this to a "Tool Problem" area is probably a stretch because it is a shipping and handling issue.

I don't see how this is a shipping and handling issue.  The Hole Drilling Set is produced by Festool.  The plastic mould inside the Systainer is designed by Festool and it does not hold the cutters sufficiently in place.

I would like to underscore this. I noticed the same thing with my LR32 set, and a few other products from festool that I've mail-ordered (of1010, Ts55).  It's something that may not happen when buying from a brick and mortar dealer, and that may be a peculiarity of the American market, but it someone should look into it nonetheless.

I had the same problem with the first LR32 that I ordered which was drop shipped direct from Festool as the vendor was out of stock. I had to return it and order another. The second LR32 kit was opened by the seller and had bubble wrap inside the container and a double wrap of bubble wrap outside the container. That second LR32 arrived safely.

I've had three Festool tools that shipped in the factory boxes, from more than one vendor, damaged in shipment. When returning one of the tools the vendor stated "we ship the tools packed exactly as we receive them from Festool". I think the shipment packing could be improved.

The brown logo shipper seems to really treat packages pretty badly. In my experience, the purple logo shipper is much better.
