I order a recon mini extractor thru Woodcraft of Downingtown, Pa., there was a mix up between the dealer and Festool. After a phone call to Woodcraft and a email to Shane, I received the extractor yesterday. I expected a well used and scuffed unit, but it looks like new.
I want to thank Shane and Brent at Festool; and at Downingtown Woodcraft both Tom (owner) and Steve at the sales counter

I too want to thank everyone at Festool!  I was fortunate enough to place an order for a CT Midi in the reconditioned sale early last week (thank you Burns Tools for getting the order placed).  I received a call on Monday of this week from Rachel in the customer service dept. at Festool saying they were out of the 584165 which I ordered (latest model) and that she could send me the older model if I desired as they had none of the new ones available.  Being a new woodworking hobbyist, I was in no hurry and decided to wait.  Rachel said it may be a couple of weeks before the new model was available.  No issues here.  Lo' and behold, when I return from lunch today I have two packages waiting for me in the office - the CT Midi which appears to be absolutely brand new and a cool Festool hat which I did not order and was not expecting.  This is my third Festool purchase through the reconditioned sale and I could not be happier!  Without the sale I never would have been a Festool junkie this quickly.  Now I just need to get the Midi home and hidden in the garage before the wife sees another blue and green tool in the arsenal!  [scared] [big grin]

So nice to hear some appreciation for good customer service, or something well done. Nice to see something positive towards those that have earned it. People/companies like this deserve to have their name promoted, and rewarded with more business as a result (and the same the other way of course). A heartening read.
