Hi Everyone,
I just recently sold my MFT cart because I wanted to build a bigger version to have more cross cut capacity and also have a bigger assembly table. I was able to order the 2m extrusions from the UK and started the build.

I built the whole carcass out of 3/4" UV birch ply and added dados for the entire length of the table with dados for each individual partitions.

Just to give you an idea of the size....full size MFT turned side ways. I am now using the long MFT rails for the two sides now. The new MFT top dimensions will be 43 3/8"x57 3/8" and the assembly is 80.5"x43 5/8".

Here is the completed MFT cart after I sprayed it with poly acrylic.

The empty cubby is for a CT26.

Beautiful cart!  Do you have any bracing underneath?  Did you think about possibly adding 2 more casters?

Where dud you source the extrusions?

I had originally ordered from Engineering Agencies a couple of years ago but, the package arrived badly damaged all three times. I have since gave up until a friend in the UK was able to send them to me.

Peter, I was worried about the flex/sag of the cart because of the size and originally wanted to build a steel perimeter frame. I opted against that because it would of made the cart height to tall. I hope with me building the cart with dados will be strong enough to where I don’t need the additional two wheels in the center. Thanks.

That's one beautiful job.  I'd hate to have to move it from one shop to another, though.  [smile]

Thank you, actually it isn’t too bad moving it around fully loaded. I don’t think it would be that bad moving it if it was empty.
