I get lots of request about the pants I wear in my videos and this is a video of one of them from blaklader.  These pants were provided to me for free and no other compensation has been received.  I share this with this forum to help you.

Also if you notice in the side pocket I have a FESTOOL Folding ruler that I use alot, great ruler.  Lots of carpenters in Europe wear this style of pants instead of tool belts and the built in knee pads are great.

enjoy

I don't have that style yet.  I do like the couple pair that the bought earlier this spring.  I am a wider individual and work in an environment that would react pokey to my carpenter's belt get dragged and bumped into wall surface.  With the pants I would guess that I an at least 6" narrower when walking forward.  I was worried about the knee pads being to bulky and having to take them out to go to lunch but they are nearly noticeable.

All in all they are the equivalent jump forward in carpentry apparel as a ts saw is in circular saws.  I could work with my old PC saw, but why do things the hard way?  The same is true for my work pants.

Well I have been wearing Blaklader for about a year now and I find them awesome.
The pocket setup if great no more nail pouches, They hold my tape, my square and hell they hold alot of everything.
I had been a Carhart fan for so many years but these are to me much better and basically priced the same...
So for me between my work in the boatyard and my cabinet making fun....they are the best  [smile]

Kreg, you are a walking advertising machine  [poke]

What next, toothpaste ?  [tongue]

Oh buy the way, i bought 2 pair of Blackladders after watching your video  [big grin]

I was compelled to buy toothpaste after watching the video.  [big grin]

Kreg makes a good spokesmodel.  Nice video, Kreg.  I still take issue with having to remove a bunch of tools from the pants just to leave the jobsite, then put them back in the pants to return to work, whereas a tool belt goes on and off much faster and keeps the tools within when off.

I own Blakladers and I think they are an excellent pant.

My only advice is to work on a tighter spokesmodel type butt when you do those 360 degree shots.  [tongue]

It's summer, why didn't you demo the kilts?

[scared]

Don't do it Kreg, the last time I showed off my legs on here I was on the receiving end of a few jokes.  Tough crowd we've got here. [big grin]

Nice video Kreg but we've got to get you doing the 15 minute videos like Paul.  Okay that might be too much to ask, how about a few close up pics of the pockets and some more info on the material, number of pockets, when they'll be available and so on.

Kreg,

I think Brice is really just interested in which pockets are intended to hold and keep beer cool plus the location of the remote control pocket.

i wore this style panths for some months, and it was incredibly handy for carpentry type work and drywalling. you can put your pocket drill driver in there and a few hundred screws in the pockets plus all your tools, and you can work from a ladder screwing for hours without refilling.
but now that i mostly do workshop woodworking i bough a simplified version without the flappy pockets. they are not needed in a workshop and tended to get stuck constantly around any sharp stationary machine corner.

We've some here in AU called Hard Yakka with the pockets.

I have a similar kilt but a bit lighter. The Utilikilt. You can carry six cold bottles of beer in the cargo pockets. It's ace for weddings, order beers for everyone at the open bar and walk back holding one.

Hey,

There was a contractor in Florida a few years ago who marketed himself as being different because he worked sans clothing.

True story.

[eek] looked at the above link. Didn't have the guts to go to His "page two hard facts about the naked carpenter"

Hmmmmm... am wondering how much you could increase your hourly rate to  [scratch chin]...... but you really would want a SawStop

Oh so many inappropriate jokes come to mind.....LOL....  love this site!

Cheers,
Steve
