Sorry I haven't jumped on to tell you that earlier, I've been working loooong days with ice dam and frozen pipe insurance jobs, with many being far away, so not much free time.

But it looks like you are using your free time very effectively!

Rookie Mistake:
Here’s a tip for other novice cabinet builders that I wish I had known prior to milling and assembly.
When you are making cabinets from a species with a big grain and a lot of color variation (blue pine or hickory), rough cut ALL the vertical planks for the stiles and doors, and match like pieces across all the cabinets.  Keep the cathedrals up.  This will result in a homogenous pattern across all the cabinets.  Otherwise everything is random.  I did it on a couple doors after Charles Neil gave me the tip, but I did not include the stiles.  The stile pattern does not merge into my door planks.

Also, I'm tearing down all the florescent lighting and replacing with 4" cans and LED bulbs.

if you have space you might want to consider going with the 6" cans.  Costco has a great deal on the 6" led retrofit kit.  1250 lumens 2700K color temp.  I have the 6" in my kitchen and 4" in my bathroom.  You definitely get more spill with the 6"  I think that the costco kit cost $13  trim included

They are just resting on the cleats now.  They have not been shimmed of bolted together. But I am delighted that the frames butt nicely and the cabinet bottom is level.  [smile]
Last carcass needs a frame and 3 more doors to assemble.

I have had a hard time with knobs/pulls.  Nothing looks right.
I also tried the magnetic spring latches.  The doors are too heavy and barely open.

Today I made my own out of 4/4 quarter sawn white oak.  They are beefy but you can hang your hat on them.  The oak will stain up nice and I can make them a rich contrasting color.

Please give me your honest opinion.  Don’t hold back because I’ll probably ignore you anyway.

The knobs in the photo are right off the saw with sharp edges.  I attached them with double stick tape.

I'd make the pulls simpler and rounded where flesh might meet them.

I'm starting to really like the look. Excellent vision...

I love the cabinets, but the pulls look like you had some spare molding lying around so decided to use it.  I think stainless knobs would look great and take nothing away from the cabinets which are beautiful.  Bill

Point well taken about the molding look.  I tried my best with the bits I have. 

What is interesting about the doors is there are a lot of straight lines and angles other than the bead and round objects don't look quite right.  I always strive for the unique. 

I wonder.  Does anyone have any 1 1/2" dia. dried limbs?

I'm going to cut template for something along the same line but with a soft curve.  I'll laminate some blue pine to have thick stock and cut it from the template.

Love the angle and color of the pulls.  Very creative and really nice design.  I do agree that they could be a bit more rounded and simpler.

Door Pulls.  Revision 1.

It take a lot of stuff to make one of these.  I think I like it more than the original.
I followed your suggestions to make is smaller, simpler, and with some roundness.
