Bora Portamate PM-8000 and Kapex

Just picked up older kapex and Bora PM-8000 miter saw stand.  Anyone use this combo?  How did you mount kapex onto bora?  Bora comes with M8 carriage bolts which are too big for kapex holes.

A coach (or carriage) bolt has a square section under the head and a rounded head.  If that works, great-otherwise look for an elevator bolt which has a very flat head and no square section under the head.

The Bora stands can be used pretty much with any miter saw ... I owned one while building my new shop building ... so I don't anticipate any problems with you using it with your Kapex. The mounting pieces are pretty universal. It's not the same level as the Festool setup, however. It's also a fraction of the cost to keep things real.

Yep. It will do for now. I picked it up for half price so I’ll use it while I wait for kapex stand to show up on used market at a discount
