Bostitch nail gun

Just attach something with one hand, that's very handy. It's very lightweight (1.7kg), no hassle with a hose. The battery only models from DeWalt and Bosch are way to heavy.

Yup, similar to me. I had a 15g cordless DeWalt for a few years, but at almost nine pounds, the weight of it got aggravating pretty quick. Not too long ago, I picked up a Porter Cable 15g nail gun weighing in less than five pounds and a Senco PC1010 compressor (also light at twenty pounds)

Had to use a little plumber's tape on the PC1010's hose fittings to reduce as much recycling as possible, but other than that, everything works great. LIGHT tools that actually do what they're supposed to are the way to go as far as I'm concerned.

The only thing left to look forward to are cordless nail guns that weigh less than a kilogram and have batteries the size of a thimble.

I recentely bought a Bostitch GFN1664K-E (16 Gauge, 25-64 mm nails).
Did some comparison between different models already mentioned above and different types: compressor, battery and gas.
Finally bought the Bostitch and never had any regret. Never thought about a gasnailer, but once used I will never do a job without it.

How long exactly have u had it please?

has it had some heavy duty use?

I really like the look of them, i have a mate who has the hitachi one only had it a few months and its gone in for a problem keeps double firing the pins, like i say my paslode has just cost me £100 for a service.

My mate has e hitachi one the batteries are not very good on it!
He's had to send them back for new ones not long after he had it.

Jmb

jmb i have a real dilemma mate, amazon are doing the angle 15 gauge for £219 including shipping and import fees, and supposedly it will use paslode gas and nails as well.

I know i can get at least £260-290 for my paslode IM65A as its just come out from a paslode  service and is in very good condition, but im fed up as it cost over £100!!!

Have u used the bostitch range?

I know it's a long time since the above post, but best to clear up some confusion.

Paslode don't currently have a 15 gauge tool, so the Bostitch 15gauge will not be compatible with any Paslode fasteners, though all the mini fuel cells supplied by Paslode / Bostitch / Hitachi etc are all interchangeable in gas finish nailers.

As some posters have noticed the Bostitch tools are actually the same tool as the Hitachi, just re-branded. Similarly, the Rawl, Senco and Montana tools are all the same.
