Thanks Eric. Just the stock blade. One day I'll get a panther blade- I often wish I had one.

Just used the Panther today to cut out a threshold where we had extended the door jamb. Cut through the hardwood like butter. I use separate splinter guard, Eric

One thing I found is that one should be careful when releasing the tension in your clamps.  One time I launched something with quite a bit of force.  For the life of me, I can't remember whether it was clamp or caul, but I was lucky it didn't hit me.

I have watched Craig demo his Bow Clamps on several occasions.
I have never seen them snap back like you describe.
Not saying it couldn't happen but would like to know why it happened.
If the pressure is released evenly, I don't think it would do that.

I have yet to try them in my own work, but will eventually spring for a set or two.

Thought I'd revive this thread to post a good customer experience with Bowclamps.  Ordered up the master set the other week from Highland, just in time to do a glue-up of hardwood caps on some plywood shelving.  But one of the 4 ft. clamps had a crack at the end.  While it was fairly small, with clamping pressure it spread noticeably, so I was worried about degradation over time as well as the overall integrity of the caul.  Called up Highland, and they forwarded it directly to the manufacturer, and within 48 hrs I had a new 4 ft. caul.

Looking forward to using them on future builds, especially on some veneering and face frame applications.  BTW, did the threaded rod modification mentioned in this thread ever get made in a formal way?http://festoolownersgroup.com/other-tool-reviews/bowclamp-review/msg243379/#msg243379

From first hand experience the Bow Clamps that Craig produce are top shelf. I use them a lot in my glue-ups.
Having met the man first hand I know he backs all he builds 100%, he a great guy to have chatted with in our first meet

Use them with a great end results
