A friend has just finished doing his house and has a number of shorts pieces around 1' to 2' long left over. Width is 5" and 3/4" thick with reliefs in the back.   I'd like to try building something all with my festool collection. Suggestions most welcome.
BTW: I'll be looking to add an MFT/3 soon.

Picture frames are always a good way to use up short pieces and make great gifts, without or without photos.

Picture frames are a nice idea, but that means I'd need to get a router.  ;D  There are probably 70-150 pieces in total and the wood looks great when finished.

You could also make a butcher block panel with them, for a table or for use as a butcher block.  Don't have a router?  Surely you jest with us.  A router is one of the most versatile woodworking tools existent.

Yeah, a butcher block would be a snap, great idea!

No jesting, until about an hour ago I didn't have a router.  Ebay and MS Live search to the rescue, I'll have a used OF 1400 soon. ;D
