broke bolt changing blade on kapex

now what do I do

How did you do that?

Take it to a machine shop and have them extract it, or send it to festool.

I used to try to extract all my broken off bolts, but found it cheaper to take them two blocks and pay the 10 bucks each.

I had one snap after the saw came back after repair from festool, the treaded part was loose after the head snapped off and i just used a couple of compass points to turn it out until  could get hold of it

I was going to suggest you try something like this since it's usually the head of the bolt that is the culprit when there is no rust involved.

As Darcy said sometimes it's easier and cheaper to just take to someone that will charge you a few bucks.  Otherwise you could invest in an easy out set.

Being left handed thread, a drill bit in the forward direction should remove the shank easily.

With no blade, triggering the saw on/off a couple of times may start the removal process.

[doh]  Right Tom, no easy out needed.
