Hi Folks,

My BS105 belt sander's motor seized terribly yesterday and is beyond repair. I'm ordering a new armature and field assembly for it. Whilst its in pieces, as mine is the older model without the speed control, is it possible to retrofit the speed control whilst im at it?
Cheers.

It should be possible. When speeds control came in fashion, Festool updated a lot of their tools by adding a separate speed control to the design they already had. It is just a little module you place between the power switch and the motor. All you have to do is cut the plastic shell to make room for it and attach it in a secure way.

So new field assembly, armature and speed control fitted and it's running like silk, I hadnt noticed how rough it had got.
I also got a new casing for it but it doesnt have the festool decals on.
Does anybody know where I can get a replacement sticker for the side of the tool from, they dont have them at the parts supplier?[attachimg=1]

Nice to see it worked. With the new casing you don't have to modify the old one.

As for the stickers, I think you're on your own there. Festool doesn't sell them. Maybe you could try to find some high resolution pictures on the net and have a dedicated sticker website print them for you.
