Bug holes in sipo dominos

i guess there is a first for everything. I have a couple of sipo domino stick laying around my shop for about 2 months.  I pulled a few today to cut to size and noticed that 2-3 had sapwood.  What i found more interesting is the number of bug holes.  It seems to be only on the sapwood of the sipo dominos..

I cant tell if these are fresh holes (too late to look for tell tale dust) or old.  Im not too worried if these are "pre-shipped" given that the dominoes are probably kilned dried.  However, i am worried that if these happened in while in my shop i may have critters in my lumber.  Fork!

Has anyone seen these before?  All my wood is kiln dried.

Just guessing, but I would suspect they came that way. It seems you would have seen holes in other lumber first if it was an infestation in your shop. Put another way, Dominoes seem like a pretty small target with other lumber sitting around. I have never heard any of our Euro members claim there were no bugs in Bavaria.  [scratch chin]
