A Deck Ramp for when I get ‘older’.
A few months back I completed a ramp for our front deck. This was to provide easier access for goods delivery and for when Ms Untidy and I may need easier access ourselves. This later need came sooner than I thought. See -http://festoolownersgroup.com/gener...tal-technology/msg476426/?topicseen#msg476426

Materials
Timber –
M10 Treated Pine at 140X45 and 90X45.
Rough Sawn, 90X90mm Treated Pine Stumps.
Merbu at 90X19mm and 138X19mm.

Other
Concrete Mix for stump pads.
Stainless Steel Deck, Colorbond, Treaded Pine and Baton Screws.
Plastic window packers, Plastic damp course, and Rivets.
Colorbond Steel [Corrugated Sheets and Trim].

A friends assistance at some stages.

As deck and ramp height less than one metre, no railing required; however, whalers as constructed provide anchor points for any future retrofit of rail posts.

Currently letting winter rains remove tannins from Merbu. It will be oiled with deck re-oil in our late Spring. Might do some landscaping then too!  [eek] [big grin]

Let's be honest .. the next project is a half-pipe and you're going to skate from the house to your custom park [wink] [big grin]
