Built this stand for the new Kapex. I used 1/2" birch plywood for everything. The big drawer on the left is used as a support also.
The drawers are handy to store light weight things in such as prints and plans.
I've used the saw and stand to trim a 3500 sq ft house the last couple weeks and really like the saw and stand.

Welcome Don!

Nice job on the stand for your Kapex.  I'm going to guess that you bought the Kapex from Hartville tools?

I went down to the grand opening a few month back and they have a nice selection of  Festool on display.

Only wish I lived a little closer to Hartville,  It's a bit of a drive for me just to visit a tool store.  But man, they had a lot of tools!

[welcome] to The FOG, Buckeye Don!

That is a very cunning and impressive Kapex stand you built.

How do you deal with security of your tools on job sites? For example, do you leave the stand and shop vac over-night and take the Kapex with you?

Welcome Don!

I have been waiting for someone to build one like this!  I have it on my bucket or bucketS list.

Thanks guy!
Yeah Eric I buy all my tools at Hartville Hardware. Seems like I lived there this summer and fall. We did a lot of the trim and cabinet installs in there new showroom/rowhouses that just opened this month.

As far as security, I take the Kapex home every night and all the big tools like saw, and guns. We work out of a trailer with a ramp, so loading and unloading is a brease.

welcome buckeye

i would like to see the inside of that trailer.
is it all kitted out inside
