Built in desk and Storage

I made this from Ivory chipboard and Oak Venereed MDF sprayed with four coats of laquer. The drawers got soft close drawer runners

I like the desk top too. That line/groove in the middle dividing the panel in half is interesting.

It's for a client. They wanted the desk with a full height wardrobe beside it where the chest of drawers is. I suggested to them that visual impact of the wardrobe would be huge when you open the door and enter the room and that's how's tje chest of drawers came about.

They also had a bookcase in the room and came up with the storage above the desk and on the desk. They have told me that they can get a lot more stuff on it than they had on the bookcase.

The panels below the desk are removable so that they can hide all the computer cables etc. so that they are hidden fro
view. They are held on with Keko clips.

Really nice little project there. See you have the same hand edge trimmer set I got from Axminster tools! Like the style of the drawer fronts and see you put a neat cable tidy insert into the top. Have used them before and they are a great little feature. I am biast cos you live in Galway [smile] my favourite place.
