Hi Folks,
Since Festool has been so very very nice to me lately ;D I thought I would share what their tools allowed me to accomplish on my last remodel project. Basically I used the plunge saw, 1000 & 1400 routers, Rotex, and rectangle sander to build all the cabinets in this office suite of this historic Queen Anne here in Rochester. All cabinets were built on site. The crown,base,and caseing were custom milled (jobbed out, no Festools) to match the existing trim in the rest of the house. These rooms were totally gutted to the studs. All the old looking trim is new.
The boxes are cherry or birch plywood and face frames are solid cherry or painted poplar. I did use a portable table saw with Rousseau table for thin rips and a Hitachi SCMS for the crown, but if someone wants to loan me a Kapex for testing
I would be happy to give it a thorough work out.
I also used a boat load of biscuits on this job, for some reason I think they will be Dominos next project. ;D
