Finally got the builtin, bamboo cabinets, wine racks and picture frame all photographed so thought I would share. Project started with the painted built in. Box's were all prefinished maple ply boxes. Fronts and side were mdf as requested by customer so they could paint. Slides and doors were all touch release for opening. Next came the bamboo cabinet, again all boxes were prefinished maple ply, cut 1/8 strips of bamboo lumber for all edges and sprayed with General finishes waterbourne enduro var which was real nice to spray. Built in wine rack and wine rack from left over ply was all bored out using the LR32 system with 1/2 up spiral bit. Used regular 1/2 powder coated spindle for the grid. Closers and slides were all soft close. Glass door panel was a fine microdot finished glass. Finally customer had an old Japanese painted scroll that a friend did 40 years ago. Cut and routed the pagola stile frame from bamboo lumber. Note the tapered sides to finish the look. Then used a black water based stain, sprayed with enduro var, sanded thru to antique and show more of the bamboo before spraying final coats.
customer liked it all so much that now I will do the kitchen over the next few months.
thx for looking
