Hi Everyone. A client dropped off a beautiful table top that has a cheery wood veneer on the top and a burn mark approx 10" in diameter from a candle that was left un-attended. The wax burned right through the veneer and has exposed the particle board of the 1/16" veneer. I have sanded the finish off the table and now have a nice cheery veneer with a burn spot. I was thinking of applying new veneer on the entire table top. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of backing the new veneer should have and also what type of adhesive to use. Thanks in advance.
