I just finished building a shed. I was using my C-15 and while descending from a ladder the belt clip on the bottom of the battery failed. Not really a big deal since I normally use it in my woodshop. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else. This might sound crazy, but it took me a while to convince myself to use it outside.

Thanks
Joe

What part failed?  One other thing, the clips are removable, are you sure it didn't remove itself without breaking? Alan beat me to it.

if they are the same as the t18 clips then im not suprised. cheap chinese toys are designed more robust

very poor.
is it the one with the little butterfly type thing that you turn  to hold it on.
ring festool and ask for them to fix it

That's the part

Thanks everyone!

I always make sure that the clip is in the left or the right position on my c12, it's only in the central position that the little tab gets any pressure and can break off.

Absolutely, making Festool aware & requesting a repair not only helps you it helps us all with improved design(s) from Festool.  [sad]

Frank-Jan - you are right on the money. Definitely a case of not paying attention.

Thanks
Joe
