I havent seen anything to say that it cannot be used. To my knowledge the only item it cannot be used for is the CTL SYS.

Slightly off topic but can we have more tools in 110v version there are at least 3 that I would buy straight away if available in 110v

Hi Phil ,can you tell me if I was to get the CTL SYS 110V ,can I use it over here in the US if I was to change the plug or it there more to it then that .

The difference between the UK (110v/50Hz) and U.S. (120v/60Hz) should not be an issue so long as the motor is the universal type. I'd venture to guess the U.S. Tools are the same as the UK tools are the same (less the plugs) if they have universal motors.

It's too bad the 110v models are not sold in Germany. If it were the shipping most likely would be cheaper than from the UK given the favorable EU exchange rate. Plus the tools often work out to be cheaper.

I recently placed a large order fro some Mafell accessories (including a 2100mm rail). Shipping was just under $150, but even so I saved just over 25% versus purchasing them in the U.S.

The favorable EU/USD exchange rate has radically altered the cost of importing items from the EU zone. It won't last forever.

And most importantly no VAT.

I hope so. I would buy one of the DR18/4 in 110v in an instant.  [big grin]
