C15 and Ti15 Combo Option

I recently purchased the Ti15 Hybrid set 2.5 weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it's impact capabilities. I am remodeling my deck and removed and reinstalled all of the balusters, as well as new 2 x 6s, all on 1 battery. Because I'd like some more torque in drill mode, as well as an additional drill for woodworking, I am looking at the C15 set.

I just discovered that if I had purchased a basic Ti15 it comes in a Systainer 3 that will also hold the C15 set. Since I have a Ti15 set with The Systainer 1, if I buy the C15 Set it looks like i can only get another Systainer 1 with it. Is there any option to buy a C15 set with the modified Systainer 3 so I can add the Ti15 to it that I own? If I had known beforehand 2 weeks ago when I got the Ti15 I would have purchased the basic one then added the C15 set at the same time since I really like the combined storage setup in the modified Systainer 3.

If nothing else you are still within your 30 days money back period so just return the Ti15 you bought and get a C15 set and the Ti15 basic as a replacement

This is one option, another is to buy the Ti15 basic Systainer/insert as a spare part from Festool.
I'm pretty sure there is no way to buy a C15 "basic".  If you call around there may be a dealer willing to go the extra mile to accommodate a makeshift C15 basic.

Thanks - I'll see if I can get a Ti15 basic insert first.

With the amount of research I did before buying I would have thought I'd catch a Ti15 Basic/C15 set as an option.

I am currently using the CXS but I've been thinking about the various drills for a while as a replacement for my DeWalt drill / driver.

I finally figured out the TI15 basic a few weeks ago, it is an excellent option if you are getting both a drill and a driver but it isn't at all obvious and it was only by reading something here that I picked up on it.  There is something about it on the Festool (US) product site near the bottom of the page under "Already Own A Festool Cordless Drill?" but I didn't quite get it until I went looking for it.

Good luck with getting the insert as a part, and if you can't I wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of the 30 day return period to get what you want.

Hi,

Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

One way or another you will get the arrangement worked out. If you end up with an extra Systainer don't worry, you will find a use for it.  [wink]

Do you know part number for  Ti15 Basic/C15 set insert? Can't find it in the spare part catalog.

Thanks.

Partnumber for the TI 15 Basic drill which fits a T-Loc SYS 3 is #703202.
