I just bought the c 15 and used it about 4 days.  While drilling the button slips between speed 1 and 2 and makes a grinding sound.  It's happened about four times and its brand new.  Has anyone had this problem?  I will prob return it for a new one bc its still within 30 days.

It's possible you inadvertently bumped the gear switch when using the drill and it hasn't gotten back in gear just right.  I know this might sound strange but when it's between gears, making that grinding sound, switch it into gear with the drill running.  This should get the gears back in alignment.  If that doesn't do it, return it.

thank you for the advice....  when it does make the grind sound i always stop and then change gears and it seems to not fully engage.  Its hard to explain but it doesnt feel like the switch clicks into position properly..

Frank, if you feel there might be a problem with the drill, I would recommend you exchange it for another for peace of mind. If possible, test out the new drill before leaving your dealer. Sorry for the trouble and inconvenience.

If you need any assistance with the exchange, feel free to contact me via email or PM.

Yep, that exactly what I thought.  Switching the gear with the drill running should take care of the problem with no long term harm/damage to the gears.
