Does anyone have the new C15 with the 4.2ah? If so how do you like the grip and is the 4.2 battery is bigger than the 3ah?

The C-series drills have excellent ergonomics. Years ago I owned a C12, and just bought a C15 a few days ago. The C shape allows you to hold the drill in a manner where the motor, driveshaft and chuck are inline with your wrist and forearm, my hands are large enough that I use my pinky and ring fingers to actuate the trigger.

Everybody is going to have their own preference, but I'd certainly cast a vote for you to go with the C- series.

I don't think the 4.2 packs are any larger than the 3.0.

Now, if only Festool released an impact driver in the C format!!  [big grin]

After having become used to my C12, I can't imagine anyone actually wanting to waste time on a T-handled drill any more, given the choice.

A C-handled impact would be great, one day, when priorities and funding line up with each other to let me purchase one...  [cool]

i don't drive screws all day everyday, but i do use my C15 regularly as I work as a handyman, i change batteries every other week or so.  I imaginge that if i used it all day everyday, i would have to change every day or so, getting a full day out of a charge?

I absolutely love my C15, I have some nice T-Handled drills from Bosch and DeWalt (new brushless models) but I almost never pick them up any more, I am a total convert to the C handle. The batteries last forever, I don't drill all day, but I find myself constantly checking and never seeing them go down to 1 light, I almost want to tape the trigger down just to use the battery.  ;D

The grip on my C12 is awesome and worked well when

reattaching boards on a deck. Finished the job in quick

order and with zero cam out, thank you Festool, Spax

and GRK fasteners.

About half way through the job I used a philips fastener

the lady had and it camed out & I realized the difference

between optimal and mediocre.  [cool]

Thanks for the reply, my parents are going to vegas so I ordered a C15 set down there so they can pick it up. I can't wait to try it!
