C15 or T18-3

I need a little help.  I am looking to purchase my first festool drill. I am use to using a dewalt 20v brushless Drill/Impact combo.  I use the drill mostly for diy projects and also furniture building.  I work for a festool dealer and I have had my hands on both the c15 and the t18.  I am torn between the two please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

t18. without a doubt. the batteries will be more useful and the transition from T handle dewalt to T handle "Thandle?" will be more natural. Compared to my other drills, 2 makita and a bosch, the T18 is much lighter and more comfortable.

Thanks, I am just reading all the great reviews on the c15 so it's a hard decision.

I already had the CSX, so I got the T18+3 and I have to say it is the nicest big drill I have ever handled and used. My colleagues were making fun of me buying it, until they used it, and then they shut up.

Same situation for me.  I think the T18 is terrific.  I got rid of all my old Dewalt drills and drill accessories except an impact driver and few impact bits.  Even though I kept the impact stuff I have not needed it since getting the T18.

I have not handled a C15, so I can't speak to the comparison.  My only worry about the T18 was that it wouldn't be sensitive enough when I was doing tasks that required a light torque setting.  I've only had the drill a week, but I've found it quite well suited to light duty tasks.  And of course, it's had power to spare on the heavier applications I've done so far.

I kept my DeWalt drills, even though I now own the CXS, C-15 and T-18.  I still have use for them all, would only get a small fraction of my money back if I sold them.  I did put together one bundle of DeWalt drills and gave to my oldest son.  He needed some drills, and gave me more space in my shop.  I may slowly phase them out, but still see a need for both the 12V and 20V Impact drivers at minimum.

I get torn with regard to keeping my old yellow tools vrs not.

The dilemma for me goes like this. On a job site it is often nice  to not worry about babying your tools as you might be inclined when working in a dedicated workshop environment. Its nice to just not care and drop a. Toll to the ground and not worry about scratching it or throwing of a tolerance of some sort that in the event you do the tool can just be re purchesd for short money if need be. 

On the other hand for me working with nice tools and caring for them as nice tools workshop or job site lends itself to me slowing and down and producing a much higher quality of work.

This is about what drill to buy though. I say the 18 clearly. Other than the CSX i have yet to drop into the Festool market. I will sooner or later probably when the PDC or whatever comes to US market.

On a side note my CSX did take 3 ft tumble last night at work and i nearly had a heart attack! It was fine, the surface it fell onto is another story. Thank god neither a big deal.

I have a C12, I'd rate it as unhandy - it's awkward to use other than with the hand/arm straight behind. Using it inside a cabinet box to fasten slides, using my thumb on the trigger is not good. I wanted a drill with the eccentric chuck so I bought it during the recent sale - the chuck made it worth the money. I've never used any other Festool drill/driver and I can't compare. My 12V Bosch pocket driver is my go to tool for slides, etc.

I tried the C15 and the T18.  I could not get used to the C handle and ended up getting the T18.  I have been very happy with it.

I use it mainly for finish work (installing cabinets, doors, making furniture, etc..) and use my Milwaukee fuels for the rough stuff.
