I started at a new job a few months ago. This is a mid level cabinet shop with a slide saw. We pump out a lot more standardized cabinets than the last job. The quantity of cabinets we produce allowed me to develop a cabinet assembly workstation and an accompanying part cart. I had been trying to come up with something like this using a 4'x8' MFT for over a year, but nothing very useful came up. Turned the design on it's side and got away from the MFT.
Right now, I'm working on my first hotel job. It's about 450 cabinets. After getting used to the new system I worked two days last week where I assembled 78 cabinets in less than eight hours. My boss believes that's the record of over 18 years. Here's a video of this current build:
