Hi new user here so i apologise if this has been brought up in the past, i had a search but i couldn't find what i was looking for.

Im looking for the cad file for the mfslab, Iv emailed multifunctionslab.com twice now with no reply, iv managed to find a local joinery shop that can CNC me the slab as long as its in a dxf file. Is this what it would be sent as anyway? im not sure if it may be different between england and usa, canada etc.

Is be surprised if it didn't come in a dxf format.  To be honest,  it's probably a 10 minute job to create it from scratch having seen the pictures.

iv just read on another thread on here that it didnt come in a dxf format, and the user had to convert it. I only just about got my local shop to agree to cnc, so im guessing he will have none of it if i start giving him the wrong formats etc

Whatever format you get it in it can probably be switched to DXF. If you're stuck, send me a PM, but as Sainty says, it's not hard to re-create that.

Also, there's someone on here flogging something very similar in the UK, pre-cut. I think. Don't quote me, I'm on holiday and full of Heineken.

do you mean the festoppa? it looks like a exact copy of the slab im after, its £160 though. My cnc shop is doing me 2 slabs for £80. Enjoy the beer, pissing down here!

and just to put it out there, anyone who has a copy of this programme i will gladly pay for it.

Probably, I can see through time right now, been on it hard since about 3pm.

But whatever "vector" format it comes in, pdf, eps, whatever, someone with a bit of knowledge can shift it to DXF easily enough for nothing.

Draftsight is free.  Its a really good 2d drafting program.

Just open the file and file, save as, dxf.  Couldn't be easier!  If you get in trouble, let me know!

Do you think it could be anything to do with me being from uk, can anyone from uk give it a go see if it works for them please

iv just went through the page on firefox instead of safari and its worked, so iv got downloaded the programme and its not in a dxf format, iv tried to download draftsight but it will not open on my macbook for some reason.
