Cadex Systainer Compressors Available for Pre-order! (US)

Hey Shane , what is Caddx saying is responsible for all the delays?

I would have to defer to [member=63097]CadexJamie[/member] to comment on the reason for delays and what steps are being done prior to introduction to the market.

Latest I have seen is their Instagram post that these would be available in September.

But I have not been contacted by Cadex about their availability yet.

I have no affiliation with Cadex, and will in all likelihood probably not purchase their new compressor, however, introducing new product into the marketplace is not an easy task, especially if you want to do due diligence and ensure the newly released product will perform to the customer's expectation level.

I understand that once a new product is announced, everyone wants to purchase it, however, even after the announcement, there will still be some alpha and beta testing of the product, and any issues found in the initial testing phases will still need to be addressed from an engineering/manufacturing/quality analysis view point. This stuff all takes time...if it was simple everyone in the world would be producing salable product.

My thought process is that it's better to have product delivered late that WORKS, than product that's delivered on time that FAILS.

Hmmmmm......Kapex just crossed my mind....

Coming from a manufacturing family, I understand what it takes to get a widget into the hands of a buyer.

What I cannot stand though is marketing with their glass half full mentality telling everyone the widget will go on sale next March, then in May telling everyone it will be Q3 only to say on Xmas eve it'll be next year.  Then nothing , then we have a big splash saying it's finally here , you can have one in Sept., I'm looking at one right now.  And six weeks later what do we have ........................

I saw better vaporware delivery times during the .com bubble days.

90psi?? What can i do with that, almost set a brad?
When you order them do you pay fir them then or when they ship?

We will not be accepting any orders for these until they are in stock and ready to ship. Credit cards are billed when product(s) ship from us.

Shane - have you heard from Cadex on this lately ?

Seems we are back on the merry go round.  [unsure]

They were coming in September, then October for sure; as Cadex man had actually seen a unicorn.  October is over within a couple of days.  Is xmas (next) hoping for too much ?

Didn't you read Shane's last post?  That seemed to me at least that there wasn't any more info available.

Peter

No Peter,  Shane said he didn't have them in stock.

He didn't say anything about a new release date - which is why I asked.  The last news was it would be available in October.  And that doesn't look promising .

No new information on an ETA. I will be sure to announce broadly once we have them in stock and ready to ship.

Just to clarify Shane this company is putting you in
a sticky situation
Don’t let them ruin your reputation
This units were already on preorder a year ago
Some people paid for it full and then approximately 5 months
after they paid for it your company announces sorry

Any word on these from you guys, given Dan's recent post about availability up north?  [big grin]

[member=13462]live4ever[/member],

If there's still interest in the Cadex Systainer compressors, it looks like they're finally available to us now. I checked with Cadex last night when I was surprised to see Dan's post and they said they won't have more inventory until around April.

At this point, we've already started taking orders for the Rolair AirStak Systainer Compressor, which is also available in April.

Post if you're still interested in the Cadex offerings so we can gauge demand.

Thanks,
Shane

I don't want to steal Dan's thread, so head over to my original thread and post if you're still interested in the Cadex offerings so we can gauge demand.

Thanks,
Shane

But...but...this IS your original thread.  [poke]

I like the Airstak's price more, but given we're already in crazytown as far as pricing for a small compressor goes, I'd want it to be as capable as possible.

That's where the larger Cadex's 3.8 CFM is appealing.  Both the Rolair and larger Cadex are SYS4's with similar noise levels (and weights I believe?), so why not have more power in the same package?

The Cadex uses an Italian pump.  The Rolair uses one from....not sure, but China/Taiwan seems likely?  Rolair has a significant track record as a compressor manufacturer.  Cadex has barely managed to get theirs to market after many delays.

475 vs 639 (would that still be the price on the larger Cadex [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] ?).  Hmm.

I'd like to see a better picture of how the power cord fits (on the Cadex too).

I'd also like to see pics of how the equipment is secured inside the Sys.

The front of the AirStak looks better but what's behind the curtain?

I like the Rolair.  I'm wondering if it is branded for them by Schneider (Sys Comp) who I believe produce 3 or 4 nearly identical units possibly  rebranded for the European market?  They've been in the compressor business for a long time

Quick peek inside via ToolNut's YouTube video:

Shows nothing but a metal cover. Why didnt they take that cover off and show the guts!

Guys, it's not practical for us to disassemble the Rolair Airstak that we have, especially since it's being loaned to us by Rolair. The compressor is made in China or Taiwan. Overhead pic of the interior attached, but it's all covered in sheet metal. Also, a close up of the front panel.
