I just rec'd an email from Rolair Customer Service.  They verified that the new Airstack is made for them by one of their partner companies however it is NOT Schneider.  They are excited to see it realeased.

Just took advantage of a site-wide coupon on that well known online auction site to purchase a Cadex Sys 4 Comp. Right before doing so, however, I called Cadex to clear up some of the confusion that exists out there regarding this compressor. According to the gentleman I spoke with, the compressor is oil-free, features a steel (not aluminum) tank, comes with a 12-month warranty and Cadex guarantees parts availability for seven years after they discontinue a product. He also offered up the name of the Italian manufacturer, FIAC, which produces compressors for the shipping industry. A quick Google search produced the following website
http://web.fiac.it/en/Index.aspx

... and marketing brochure for the "AirBox 2":
http://b2b.fiac.it/backend/Uploads/Catalogs/depl NUOVO AIRBOX2_7.pdf

Now crossing my fingers that I didn't just make an expensive mistake. lol
