Can a CT handle highly repetitive intermittent use?

So today I got busy on day two of a fairly large cabinet build (for me/my house).  I plugged my CT MIDI's hose into my pocket screw jig and then plugged my hand drill into the accessory plug on the MIDI.  I did maybe two dozen holes before I started having second thoughts about the MIDI turning on for a few seconds then off for 10 while I repositioned the material over and over and over again.

It should be able to handle it but it's still electronic.  Silly concern or don't worry about it?

Note - it is cool that it can work that way though.

I wouldn't think this would be much different than doing production work with a Kapex and a CT. You are only running the Kapex for a second or two then kicking it on again for another cut. So it would be working just like your situation of intermittent use. I have several auto switches besides having a CT and have used them for pocket holes with a corded drill and have never seen any issues.

I concur. Domino or miter saw would see similar use.

It can handle it just fine. You can turn it on and off as often as you want, as long as you need to and as short as you need to.

Sweet, thanks guys.  Shoulda been able to make the comparison myself.  Didn't even think about how often and frequent the domino was triggering the vacuum just shortly before.  Probably also hundreds of times too and no different (except the drill was a dewalt) in comparison.
