Can a DTS 400 work well on curved contours of small parts?

I am looking to use my DTS 400 to give a good finish on a plywood prototype I am currently making. See photo.

At present I am sanding layers of primer by hand and then spray painting. However I would prefer to use the DTS 400 to reduce dust.

The DTS 400 I think is really best for flat surfaces, but is there a soft sanding pad accessory that would allow me to use it on curved surfaces?

I read herehttp://blindsquirrelprops.com/suppply-tip-how-to-use-bondo/ how to use car body filler. Just wondering if the DTS 400 would work in this case and which papers would work well.

Also the DTS 400 is perhaps too large to use on the inside of the arch. Is there a Festool solution for this?

That looks like a somewhat ripe task for rasps and files... as well as hand sanding.

I don't think it would fit very well on such an object. Hand sanding seems better to me.

The DTS 400 will do very well on those flat faces and on the convex section but so too would many other sanders. For the concave parts it is hand sanding where you could try one of the Festool flexible hand abrasive sponges - I am sorry that I do not know the right part numbers but I have seen them and they look quite good.

RO90 with interface pad(s) is a handy option for curves and contours. Delta gets into odd places too.

497481 I believe. Get multiple, you can stack them to go deep in contours.

Interface pads don't seem to be available for the DTS 400, but they are for the RTS 400. Why is that?

Wouldn't it work to get the rectangular interface pads for the RTS and then drill or punch new holes to convert it for the DTS. I guess they could also be cut to make the triangle shape.

Could I convert my DTS to an RTS? What parts would I need?
