Can anyone identify this item?

I recently unpacked my workshop after several years of having everything in storage, and I find myself unable to remember what this thing is for.

I own a wide variety of Festool products (track saw, kapex, sanders, multitool, domino, router, jigsaw, drills, drivers, etc, as well as the kapex extensions) but I can't place this with any of them. I initially thought it was part of my MFT/3, and it does fit on the rail, but I can’t see what purpose it would serve. Does anyone have any ideas?

It’s also possible this is a homemade item I bought a garage sale, and have forgot about.

Grateful for any thoughts.

Dunstan

It’s a bracket to attach homemade extensions to Kapex.  I forget the maker…someone possibly from this forum.  I have them as well…

Ah, yes! Thank you!
I see a video of a very similar device in use here

Well, I don't need any more extensions on my Kapex, so I'll try to come up with a different use for it. Perhaps mounting something on my MFT/3.

Thanks again.

May I reuse this thread as I have the exact same quiestion, albeit a different item?

I found the parts in the picture in the floor today as I finished routing some joinery with my CMS. I have absolutely no idea where they came from but it seems reasonable that they fell off the CMS during operation. I used my OF2200, the sliding table and two fences. I also used my TS55 in the table 30 minutes prior but I think I would have spotted this when I changed modules.

Any Ideas? Everything worked fine when I finished routing and no knobs that I know of are missing.

Found it! Apparently its a guide plate that I assume is for using an OF1400. I have never used it but it seems to be stored on the CMS router module.

That attaches to the router lift for use on the 1400 & possibly also the 1010.
