Can I cut UHMW with my TS55 with the standard blade?

Hi. I would like to make a router jig and have some 3/4 inch UHMW. I have never cut this before and am wondering if it's OK to use my TS55 with the standard blade that came with the saw, and what results I might expect.....or should I use another method or blade?

The Fine Tooth blade works fine with UHMW. The Aluminum/Plastic blade is better if you're cutting a lot of it.

Thank you Tom. I'll give it a try and if need be I'll purchase the other blade. Not planning on too much cutting just for the odd little jig.

I've cut UMHV (1" thick) with a combo blade on a table saw... I think you'll be fine with the stock blade @ a lower speed.
