Can you use the Kapex on the floor?

The manual states that the Kapex needs to be clamped down on a secure surface.  I plan on cutting baseboards and putting the Kapex on a level floor with systainers on either side.  Anything I should do to make this as "safe" as possible?  I've never used a miter saw before, but have the other Festool toys -- the manual seems kind of difficult for me to follow.  Unfortunately, I missed the Festool Kapex demo last week.  Oh well.

Yes sys1's either side...away you go. Look through some of the vids and you will see it being done.

In the video of the Kapex put out by Festool they show a guy cutting moulding using the Kapex on the floor, and supporting the piece with a Systainer 1. I'm fairly certain he didn't bolt it to the floor  :D

Liz,

My guess would be on a "carpeted mat" would work best on the floor to prevent slippage.

(then also under the systainers for correct height balance)

hmmm,  I would beg to differ on your reference to the Kapex of it being a "toy"
