I have been trying to log on to the ekat parts site for several days now with no success. Does anyone know if the system is down?

First welcome to FOG

If you use the index header at the top go to Festool Websites and in the last row you will find a link to the E Kat system, I just checked it works fine

Thanks Sal,
Apparently something is amiss with my computer as I keep getting a message that "website is not responding". I have no problem with accessing a multitude of other websites. I will have to look into this problem - very strange.

FWIW, on my Mac I can't load ekat in either Safari or Chrome, and the selection options aren't available in FireFox. What I did was get past the selection fields in Chrome and then paste the URL into FireFox with Java enabled. I bookmarked the link in FireFox so I can go back without using Chrome. In case it might help someone else, here's the link:

http://ekat.festool.com/EKAT/jsp/main.jsp?doAction=start&partLang=en&docuLang=en&locale=us_US&viewerType=6&k_vari_top=festoolusaroot&k_ver_top=&image=0&k_lfdnr=&nodeId=child&verticalLayout=1&HOOK_URL=&currency=USD&filter_F_Typ1=on&filterValues_F_Typ1=US&currencyKey=US

I have just confirmed that in order to run EKAT on Macs and Firefox, you MUST have Java running.

I have one Mac that doesn't have Java, and had the same problems as noted earlier. The Mac WITH Java (latest version) on it, went to ekat.festool.com directly, without issue and ran properly.

In a "current" life, I'm an Appleholic! [tongue]

Hi squarecut,

Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

Not sure if you've Ekat before, but you need Java to use it.

Seth

I have accessed Ekat many times before on this pc with java enabled without problems. This issue has just surfaced in the past week. I am at a loss as to the reason.

You might want to check and make sure that your Java software is updated to the newest version and that as others have said is running.

Thanks Peter,
I uninstalled Java & reinstalled latest version and I now can access Ekat.
