Canuks and festool

I am a wandering Canadian, currently in South Florida but am going to return home one day soon.  I was wondering about the possibility of getting a festool dealership in Canada.  I have property in Mi too.

From what I am hearing here there is a need.  I went to the Canadian dealers site and had to dig and dig to only find a link to the festool site...US.  I know thru the Lee Valley Stores there is a market for high end woodworking tools...(and more decent wood too.)

Would it be viable to be a woodshow dealer with a Canadian Website?  I have a few other products I would like to carry too.

Any imput would be very much appreciated.

I am Canadian and hoping/trying to change the way Festool is represented in Canada. Right now I buy in the US and drive it across the border.

I have talked to Hafele and mentioned their prices were not competitive compared to the US and most Canadians would rather drive across the border and pick items up and they seemed fine with that. Their actual response was they were there for Canadians who didn't have that option such as those in Prince George, Yellowknife, etc

My experience with Hafele (as a hobiest woodworker) is that Hafele is not there for those folks either.  It appears to me that Hafele is only interested selling Festool to same large accounts that they sell thier own hardware to.
